Unibody or full-frame, steel or aluminum — gas, hybrid, or EV — every vehicle gets the same I-CAR Gold Class repair standard and the same lifetime warranty.

YOU DESERVE TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR CAR.

Your insurance can't pick your body shop. You can.

California Insurance Code § 758.5 makes it illegal for an insurance company to require you to use their “preferred” repair shop. Steering is against the law. You choose where your car gets repaired — and we'll handle the insurance paperwork, supplements, and negotiations for you.

  • Your legal right: any shop you choose, and your insurer must still pay covered costs
  • Photo-only estimates routinely miss hidden structural damage — insist on a teardown estimate
  • We document everything and deal with the adjuster so you don't have to

Common Questions

Can my insurance company force me to use their repair shop in California?
No. Under California Insurance Code § 758.5, an insurer cannot require you to use a specific repair shop. Once you tell them which shop you've chosen, they must work with that shop and pay reasonable covered repair costs. “Steering” you toward a preferred shop after you've stated your choice is illegal.
What is California Insurance Code § 758.5?
It's the state law that protects your right to choose your own auto body shop after an accident. Your insurance company must inform you of this right and cannot condition your claim on using their direct repair program (DRP) shop.
Should I accept a photo-only estimate from my insurance company?
Be careful. Photo estimates only capture visible surface damage. Hidden damage — bent frame rails, damaged suspension components, broken clips and brackets — is usually found only during teardown. A photo estimate that looks “fine” often grows 30–50% once the bumper comes off. We write supplement requests directly to your insurer when we find hidden damage.
Do I need a police report after a minor accident in Los Angeles?
If there are injuries, a hit-and-run, or a dispute about fault — yes, always. For minor two-party collisions, LAPD may not respond to the scene, but you can file a report online or at a station. A report strengthens your insurance claim and protects you if the other driver changes their story.
How long does collision repair take?
A minor bumper repair can take 2–4 days; moderate collision damage typically runs 1–2 weeks; structural repairs can take longer, and parts availability affects every timeline. The honest answer is: it depends on teardown findings — which is exactly why we give you a live tracking link with real-time status and photos instead of a guess.
Do you use OEM or aftermarket parts?
For fleet vehicles we follow an OEM-first parts strategy, and for all customers we explain exactly which parts your estimate includes and why. If your insurer specifies aftermarket parts, we tell you before work begins — no surprises on your final paperwork.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. Every repair we perform is backed by a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. We are an I-CAR Gold Class certified shop.
My car isn't drivable. Can you tow it?
Yes — our tow service runs 24/7 across the San Fernando Valley. Call (818) 767-7600 any time and we'll dispatch a truck and start your paperwork on the spot.
How fast can you estimate damage on a commercial fleet vehicle?
Within 2 hours during business hours. Fleet vehicles get priority bay access because we know every hour of downtime costs you revenue. See our Fleet Services page for the full SLA.
